We were instructed by a main contractor to undertake the design, manufacture and installation of a bespoke Stainless-Steel Staircase for a very high-end scheme in Richmond Park.

The design and installation had zero tolerance as the staircase had to appear to be ‘floating’. Over the four floors we were allowed 2mm of tolerance. All aspects of design and installation were laser cuts and the stringers were created to be seamless at all junctions.

The final product delivered the desired ‘wow’ factor and the client was delighted with the entire process.

In 2017 Graham Steel Ltd were instructed to undertake a full ‘turnkey’ process for a conversion of a 7-storey structure in Shoreditch.

The scheme consisted initially of over 90 tonnes of temporary steel work to brace the entire building in line with Party Wall Requirements.

Following this process, the entire permanent scheme had to be ‘threaded’ around the temporary scheme over the existing floors to allow two new floors to be installed at Roof Level.

The final piece of the jigsaw was the systematic removal of the temporary beams which had to take place during the fit-out process.

The scheme was delivered on programme.
